Conyers splits chairman role in two with new appointments

Hargun and Lamb replace John Collis, who has chaired the firm’s executive committee for a number of years and is also Conyers’ corporate head.

The appointment of Hargun and Lamb took effect on Friday 16 November.

Hargun is based in Bermuda. He joined the firm in 1983 and was made up to partner in 1987, when he was also appointed head of litigation. He will continue in this role in addition to being co-chair.

Meanwhile, Lamb relocated from Bermuda to Hong Kong in 2000, where he practises M&A law.

The duo will both continue to fee earn.

A spokesperson for Conyers said the decision to split the role of chair was taken to “fully cover” the firm’s global and strategic initiatives.

Other offshore firms to have recently appointed new management include Harney Westwood & Riegels (29 October 2012) and Walkers (15 October 2012).
