Contempt over release of info

The House of Lords is considering whether to give leave for appeal in Propend Finance Property and ors v Sing and anor. Propend, an Australian company, has so far failed in its moves to bring contempt proceedings over the release of confidential information, which it claims was obtained from documents originally seized under search warrants later held by the High Court to be unlawful. The search warrants were originally obtained in respect of an investigation into alleged tax evasion in Australia.
