Colt Telecom's new regulatory head Robin Saphra has been handed the dual role of legal and regulatory head following the resignation of general counsel Jane Forrest.
It is understood that Forrest left the company following disagreements about the nature of her role. Colt confirmed her departure but declined to comment on the reasons behind it. Forrest could not be reached for comment.
Telecoms lawyer Saphra joined Colt in October as commercial director and head of regulatory after a spell in Dubai's Internet City, where he was developing plans, strategy and licences for the United Arab Emirate's second telecoms operator.
Saphra will retain the title of commercial director and head of regulatory as Colt intends to address the need for a commercially-driven regulatory and legal function.
