Collyer builds reputation with swoop for Steeles litigation duo
Steeles Law practice heads Dominic Crossley and Rhory Robertson have defected to rival Collyer Bristow.

The pair have been recruited to help expand Collyer’s reach into the reputation management market.
Crossley, who headed Steeles’ litigation practice, has a number of Formula 1 clients, including president of the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile Max Mosley, who he successfully represented in a High Court action against the News of the World last year. Robertson headed Steeles’ media practice.
Crossley told The Lawyer: “I’m moving because of their [Collyer’s] determination to make a big move into reputation management work, in particular in sports law.
“My biggest workload is in relation to motor sport. I’m continuing to build that, but to broaden my work with the help of Steven [Heffer, Collyer head of media and sport] into sports generally.”
Collyer partnership director Jackie Reiss said the move would open up “excellent opportunities” for the firm.
Collyer has made a number of hires in recent months, including that of real estate consultant Michael Grace, who joined the firm in June from Olswang, where he was a partner.
