This year, The Lawyer’s annual ranking of the largest UK law firms by turnover is available as an interactive, digital benchmarking tool. For the first time this will allow you to manipulate each data set against the metrics of your choice.
The college is creating courses tailored specifically to the each of the firms’ needs and is a major boost for the college which four years ago was excluded from the original City LPC contract which went to a consortium made up of BPP, Nottingham Law School and Oxford Institute of Legal Practice.
Linklaters appears to be the furthest down the line as its proposed course has received a recommendation by a Law Society validation panel. However it still needs to gain formal approval by the Law Society's Legal Practice Board which will take place in May.
The College of Law already runs Linklaters’ litigation seat.
Allen & Overy and Clifford Chance are developing bespoke LPC courses alongside the college, with the new arrangements scheduled to kick off in September 2006.
