Channel Island firm Collas Crill is strengthening its Singapore office with the hire of Leon Santos from fund management group Prosperity Capital Management.
Santos joins Collas Crill as a group partner, adding to the firm’s capabilities in Singapore. It opened in the jurisdiction last year (26 May 2011).
The office has been headed by partner Sean Cheong, who is returning to Guernsey later this year. Meanwhile, Guernsey partner Marcus Hinkley is relocating to Singapore to head the office in September.
Before joining Collas Crill, Santos was a director and legal counsel at Prosperity Capital, which invests mainly in Russia and the CIS region. He previously worked at onshore and offshore law firms in Jersey and London.
Collas Crill has also relocated funds associate Brandon Doffing to Singapore. Doffing is currently on secondment with local firm Rajah & Tann and will be in Collas Crill’s Singapore office from November.
