This year, The Lawyer’s annual ranking of the largest UK law firms by turnover is available as an interactive, digital benchmarking tool. For the first time this will allow you to manipulate each data set against the metrics of your choice.
The move follows a decision by the FTSE 250 consumer company, which is behind brands such as Imperial Leather and Carex, to dissolve its one-lawyer in-house legal department and to outsource all of its legal work to external advisers.
Historically, PZ Cussons had a relationship with Cobbetts and Addleshaw Goddard legacy firm Theodore Goddard, but the company’s director of finance Brandon Leigh said: “It wasn’t because Cobbetts had fallen down, we just felt that Addleshaws had a good fit with us.”

The firm has already advised PZ Cussons on the acquisition of hair care products from celebrity hair stylist Charles Worthington, which completed a fortnight ago.
Cobbetts national head of corporate Stephen Gilmore said: “Obviously it’s a huge disappointment to lose a client, but these things happen.”
