Sir David Alliance, chairman of Coats Viyella, is heading for the High Court with a claim in respect of a property transaction. He is suing Regent Holdings, of Nauru in the Central Pacific, over a property in Acacia Road, London NW8. When the case comes on Alliance will seek an inquiry into the open market value of the property. He will also seeks specific performance of a contract for the sale and purchase of the property between him and Regent Holdings, judgment for interest on a total of £10m and a declaration that he has a lien on the property for £10m. Alliance is being represented by Slaughter and May.
