CMS, Eversheds and Osborne Clarke win spots on slimmed down Lloyds panel
Ashurst, Berwin Leighton Paisner, CMS Cameron McKenna, Eversheds, Osborne Clarke and Stephenson Harwood have been appointed to Lloyds Banking Group’s own-account legal panels following a review.
The firms are understood to have been among those awarded places on the slimmed-down roster, a revamp of which was finalised this week.
Lloyds has appointed firms to roughly eight sub-panels, with the number of firms appearing thought to have been significantly cut. The breadth of the process led to the conclusion being delayed from the beginning of October to the start of this month (25 October 2012).
Other firms previously holding places on the panels include Allen & Overy, Clifford Chance and Linklaters.
The rosters cover the bank’s own-account work, with a separate review of its customer-pay panel set to be launched in the new year.
The review is the second since Lloyds TSB acquired HBOS in 2010, with Herbert Smith and SNR Denton also winning places on the initial post-merger panel (21 October 2010).
Lloyds declined to comment.
