Two Sinclair Roche & Temperley partners who have opted out of joining Stephenson Harwood when the two firms merge have been hired by shipping specialist Clyde & Co
As revealed on www. thelawyer.com/lawyernews Trade finance and commodities partner Robert Parson and energy and shipping expert Russell Ridley, are part of a group of five partners from Sinclair Roche's London office who have not joined the combined firm, which merged on 17 May, while 24 partners have joined. In addition, only one of Sinclair Roche's Hong Kong partners, litigation partner Sue Macnaughton, is joining Stephenson Harwood. Parson and Ridley are joined by Sinclair Roche assistants Balvinder Ahluwalia and Anne-Christin Herold. Parson said: "Clyde & Co's outstanding reputation in our particular areas of specialisation meant that it was clearly the firm of choice. We're very excited to be joining a firm where our practice areas are very much at the core of the business. We're looking forward to being part of such a strong and high-profile team."
