The London-based firm's two partners - Paul Turner and Roger Spencer - will join Clyde & Co as equity partners in an enlarged commodities group with all their staff.
Turner & Co, set up by Turner and Spencer 15 years ago, is particularly prominent in the soft commodities sector, acting for international trading houses, especially those trading in sugar.
Clyde & Co commodities partner, John Whittaker describes the merger as "a significant step", claiming Turner & Co's expertise and client base will give "greater critical mass on the contentious side of our commodities practice".
Turner says: "Clyde & Co has an extremely good reputation and is at the cutting edge of litigation. Our clients will benefit from its full City service."
