Clifford Chance taps Sydney firm for Asia restructuring partner

Clifford Chance has bolstered its Hong Kong office with the hire of a partner from Sydney firm Henry Davis York.

Restructuring lawyer Nick Dunstone, who was a partner at Henry Davis York and established the firm’s distressed investing practice, has over 14 years’ experience. His expertise lies in distressed debt investment and the restructuring of distressed companies. His clients include leading hedge funds, private equity funds and the special situations groups of investment banks.

Prior to joining Henry Davis York in 2002, he practised with US firm Cadwalader Wickersham & Taft in London for four years.

Dunstone’s appointment in Hong Kong follows Asia Pacific restructuring and  insolvency practice leader Scott Bache’s relocation to Clifford Chance’s Sydney office from Hong Kong earlier this year.

Clifford Chance’s Asia Pacific restructuring and special situations team spans across its offices in Bangkok, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Perth, Singapore and Sydney.
