Clifford Chance has elected Graham Lovett as its Middle East managing partner for a second term following a partner vote in the region.
The litigation partner has headed the firm’s partnership in the region since 2005, having arrived at the Dubai office a year earlier. He is also head of the litigation and dispute resolution team in the Middle East.
Lovett said: “We have an incredibly talented and committed team of lawyers on the ground which, combined with our ambition for the future, makes this region one of the most exciting places to be practising law.”
Lovett heads a team of 15 partners in the region, with 10 of those based in Dubai.
His reelection follows April’s move to send capital markets partner Tim Plews to team up with Clifford Chance’s Saudi associate firm Al Jadaan & Partners (15 April 2010).
