A year after the mooted closure of its Prague office, Clifford Chance is set to take new premises in the Czech capital.
The firm has instructed property consultants DTZ and is negotiating terms over 1,200 square metres of space in two centrally based Prague properties - The Forum in Wenceslas Square and Jungmannova Plaza.
The firm conducted a review of its Eastern European offices 12 months ago when one of the options discussed was to potentially scale back in Prague. However the recent decision to take new space is a major boost for the magic circle firm’s presence in the region.
Clifford Chance’s Prague managing partner William Knowles said: “We’re looking to move somewhere we can expand. This re-emphasises our commitment to Prague.”
