It comes just days after Reed Smith bolstered it global energy and natural resources group with the appointment of Dewey & LeBoeuf partner Nicholas Rock.

Former head of Clifford Chance’s environmental & climatic trading group Zaman will join Reed Smith’s energy and natural resources group as a London-based partner.

The moves bring the number of new partners to join the group to ten in the last two years.

Last year the firm appointed three Pinsent Mason lawyers, Lynne Davy, Elinor Crowther and Shareena Edmonds, to the energy projects group in April.

That was closely followed by the announcement that Brett Hillis, a partner in SNR Denton’s London office, would join Reed Smith as a partner in May (16 May 2011).

Zaman was unavailable for comment.
