Clifford Chance loses further New York litigator" />Clifford Chance has lost a further litigation partner from its New York office with Vic Siber leaving to join US firm Baker Hostetler.
The move comes after Clifford Chance has lost litigation partners John Carroll, Warren Feldman and David Meister to Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom at the end of last year (2 December), weeks after Bingham McCutchen raided Clifford Chance's Washington DC office for a three-partner antitrust group including DC head Leiv Blad (13 November).
A Clifford Chance source said: "Vic was due to retire from the firm on 30 April. We wish him well in his new job."
The US litigation department has shrunk considerably in recent months, with 20 associates being laid off last October. The group now has 19 partners and approximately 60 associates across the firm's New York and DC offices.
Siber's practice is IP focused and he advised on asset protection, patents, copyrights and financing. He is the former chief IP counsel at IBM, where he was responsible for patent portfolio, contracts and licensing.
