Clifford Chance has emerged as the strongest brand in the legal market.
The magic circle firm ranked 240th in a league table of the top 500 business brands.
Linklaters came a close second, finishing in 247th place, ahead of Slaughter and May in 255th.
Eversheds split the magic circle, finishing 263rd, well ahead of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in 334th and Lovells in 342nd.
Allen & Overy came 374th. Baker & McKenzie finished 415th. Norton Rose brought up the rear in 499th.
The Lawyer is the 392nd strongest brand in the UK while the BBC topped the poll, finishing just ahead of Microsoft, British Airways BT and Google.
The top 500 was compiled by the Superbrands council, and over 1,400 business professionals were surveyed by research agency YouGov.
