Clifford Chance has elected Spain managing partner Ignacio Ojanguren as executive partner for finance, joining managing partner David Childs' management team for the firm.
Ojanguren takes over from global tax, pensions and employment head David Harkness, who has come to the end of his two year term in the role. The executive partner for finance is responsible for setting the firm's annual budgets.
Managing partner David Childs said: "I am delighted that Ignacio has been elected to this role. We owe David great thanks for serving as a very effective finance partner during the last two years, and I look forward to working closely with Ignacio in the future."
Corporate partner Ojanguren joined Clifford Chance in 1990, making partner four years later. He is based in Madrid and is responsible for the firm's operations in Spain. He joins general counsel Chris Perrin on Childs' management team and is supported by finance director Stephen Purse.
