The firm is sending out Christmas cards warning of the dangers of going too far at end of year festivities.
Employment head Geoffrey Mead advises clients not to hire strippagrams or play games which involve physical contact at their Christmas bash. The move follows a recent employee tribunal decision which considered after-work drinks to be in the course of a person's employment.
He says: "We are going into the Christmas party and millennium party period, where lots of people will get drunk and lose their inhibitions."
But Mead denies that the firm is trying to spoil anyone's fun. "If you think that sexually harassing your secretary or racially abusing someone is fun, then perhaps we are," he says.
