Seems strange to be claiming credit for now being involved in their nationalisation, given that their solutions last time round didn’t seem to cut it. What does it say on their webste: “commitment to our clients – providing first-class advice, which is innovative when required, in a constructive and commercial manner”…back to the drawing board then! They acted for the Government on Northern Rock, Abbey on its takeover by Santander, and Santander on the acquisition of Alliance & Leicester. Are they now public sector specialists?
