US firm Mintz Levin Cohn Ferris Glovsky and Popeo is to move into bigger offices in London as it seeks to build up its reputation for corporate and IP in the UK capital.
The firm has taken 7,700 sq ft of new space at office block Alder Castle in Noble Street, London, which will be enough to accommodate 18 lawyers and 13 administrative staff.
Julian Crump, managing partner of Mintz Levin London, said: “We’re gaining much needed space while remaining in the heart of London’s financial district. It’s the best of both worlds.”
The move comes just four months after the addition of former McGrigors partner David Mandell, who joined the firm to head up its burgeoning UK corporate practice. Mintz Levin has also sent New York corporate associate Raoul Duggal to London to beef up the department.
New York-based Proskauer Rose is also taking advantage of the current crisis to expand overseas. This month it hired two Heller Ehrman partners for new office launches in Hong Kong and Beijing.
