City Law School has tied up with US law firm Cohen Milstein Hausfield & Toll to offer two internships in its London office.
Students who achieve top marks in their coursework for any antitrust module in their first term are automatically entered into the contest through the submission of their coursework.
Those with top marks will have their papers, and their CVs sent to Cohen Milstein for an interview selection process.
The two internships, which last for three months are only available to international commercial law LLM students.
City Law School, which already boasts similar alliances with three other US firms, is also planning on increasing the number of such arrangements.
We are currently negotiating a number of further tie ups, said Dr Alan Riley, director of the international commercial law LLM at City Law School.
On example is the renewal of the Thomas Cooper & Stibbard International Shipping Law internship which was initially launched in 2006, and has been renewed to include 2007-2008.
Other firms with similar arrangements with the law school are US firms OMelveny & Myers, Howrey and Sidley Austin.
