The Lawyer Global Litigation Top 50 report is the only ranking of international law firms by litigation and arbitration revenue and is essential reading for anyone seeking to benchmark their litigation and dispute resolution practices...
This year, The Lawyer’s annual ranking of the largest UK law firms by turnover is available as an interactive, digital benchmarking tool. For the first time this will allow you to manipulate each data set against the metrics of your choice.
THREE City firms are considering piloting a new US litigation support product
The firms are test-driving LIT CaseWorks, a case management system launched in July by Interliant, a company based in Houston, Texas to see whether they want to pilot it.
CaseWorks' manufacturer Interliant claims that the system can keep track of all the work carried out on a case and allows lawyers to log directly into their firm's documents from anywhere in the world.
Firms can rent the system for a monthly fee and avoid an expensive initial investment.
The system is based on Lotus Notes software, which is used by almost 80 per cent of UK law firms and is compatible with virtually any system.
Interliant European business operations vice-president Ann Zitterkopf said the CaseWorks system was a "natural progression" for law firms which already used Lotus Notes because it could be "up and running immediately".
She added that Interliant also offered a network outsourcing service which allows firms to communicate electronically without having to dedicate personnel and resources to building and maintaining an internal system.
