Newly combined Egg and Citibank's UK consumer arm has appointed Tom Crane as its new head of legal.
Crane joined Citi as Europe, the Middle East and Africa general counsel for credit cards from WilmerHale in May 2006.
Crane has experience working on a range of corporate and regulatory matters at Citi, including on the sale of Citi's European credit card acquiring business.
The news comes after Citi purchased online banking group Egg for £456m last month (1 May). The combination of the two groups is part of the bank’s strategy to position itself as a strong competitor in UK financial services a statement from the bank said.
