Beijing-headquartered Jun He has hired its fourth new partner from international firms since August this year with the addition of Weil Gotshal & Manges partner Jasson Han.
The move sees Han return to Jun He after spending eighteen years working for international firms.
He left Jun He, where he had been a partner, in 1993 to study in Ireland. Between 1995 and 2009 he worked in Simmons & Simmons’ London and Hong Kong offices as an associate, consultant and partner. He left the UK firm for US firm Weil Gotshal in November 2009 and worked in its Beijing and Hong Kong offices.
Han has advised a large number of multinationals and major Chinese state-owned and private companies on their PRC-related inbound and outbound M&A transactions. He also has experience in corporate, capital markets, securities and complicated commercial issues.
Prior to Han’s appointment, Jun He made three senior lateral hires from international firms. Jones Day partner Chen Luming, Ashurst senior associate Daniel Wan and Vinson & Elkins senior associate Alex Yong joined the firm as partners in Shanghai, Hong Kong and New York respectively.
