The former head of Charles Russell’s corporate tax group Tarlochan Lall has taken up a seat at Monckton Chambers.
Lall joined Charles Russell in 1998 to launch its corporate tax group. He left the firm at the end of last year and did a three-month pupillage at Monckton.
He has now taken tenancy at the set, where he will specialise in tax advice with a particular focus on the property sector.
Lall said: “I feel privileged that I can launch my career at the bar as a member of Monckton Chambers. I look forward to the exciting challenges ahead.”
The news comes after Charles Russell partner Alexander Keepin announced his decision to leave the firm for Berwin Leighton Paisner (14 April 2011).
Keepin, a corporate finance partner, said his aim was to build a new mining practice team for BLP that would complement its existing practice.
