The Law Society is investigating Charles Russell after its dispute with a former secretary concerning an allegedly racist email
Charles Russell solicitor Andy Dowdney sent an email to partner Clive Hopewell about departing black secretary Rachel Walker, asking whether she could be replaced with a "busty blonde". The firm has already settled with Walker for a five-figure sum. The Office for the Supervision of Solicitors is now investigating whether the firm breached the Law Society's conduct rules. Charles Russell was unable to comment on the matter.
