Charles Russell has announced plans to cut its two-week summer vacation schemes in half in a bid to “control the costs” involved with running them.
HR and development manager Julia Dalton has said the changes will still allow for the normal eight candidates to take part in each of the two placements, which run over the summer months.
Dalton said: “We’re confident that during a week with us, candidates will be kept busy and will gain a good insight into Charles Russell and similarly we think we shall be able to make a good assessment of their abilities in that time.”
The news comes just after the firm announced plans to give its staff the option of a four-day week following redundancy consultations with an unspecified number of staff (30 January).
