Challinors Lyon Clark has introduced a debt recovery service to its repossessions department.
The West Midlands firm will aim the new mortgage shortfall recovery team at lending institutions. Existing clients include Birmingham Midshires and West Bromwich Building Society. The team will be based in the West Bromwich office.
Trevor Lee, Challinors' senior partner, says the acquisition will enhance the services that the firm already provides.
Head of the team is Rob Haynes, senior recoveries manager. He is assisted by Tracey Nicholls and Richard Harbird. All of the team were previously employed by Wragge & Co.
Haynes aims to increase the strength of the team and bring in work from other UK institutions.
Lee says: "We are now in a position to offer a comprehensive recovery package to existing and potential clients, delivered by a specialised team with in-depth experience."
