An alliance of high profile lawyers to the stars are teaming up to launch a popular US alternative dispute resolution procedure for divorces in London this week.
The Central London Collaborative Forum (CLCF) aims to reduce the costs and acrimony involved in the divorces of the rich and famous.
Manches partner James Stewart, one of the family law experts involved, said that the aim of the CLCF is to “bring collaborative family law to big money divorces” in the UK.
The CLCF is made up of a handful of leading practitioners from leading private client law firms such as Addleshaw Goddard, Alexiou Fisher Philipps, Charles Russell, Clintons, Kingsley Napley and Farrer & Co.
The CLCF hopes that collaborative law will catch on in England, which has recently grown into a court of choice for those shopping around for divorce jurisdictions.
The organisation is using the slogan ‘divorcing with dignity’ to market its new approach.
