Clifford Chance has emerged as the strongest brand in the legal market.
The magic circle firm ranked 240th in a table of the top 500 business brands, as first revealed on www.thelawyer. com (7 March).
Linklaters came a close second in 247th place, ahead of Slaughter and May at 255.
Eversheds divided the magic circle, finishing 263rd, well ahead of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer at 334 and Lovells at 342.
Allen & Overy came 374th, Baker & McKenzie 415th and Norton Rose 499th.
The Lawyer is the UK's 392nd strongest brand, while the BBC topped the poll, just ahead of Microsoft, British Airways, BT and Google.
The table was compiled by Superbrands. More than 1,400 business professionals were surveyed by YouGov.
