Clifford Chance’s move to hire Li follows the move of Allen & Overy last week to take Freshfield Bruckhaus Deringer’s US and Hong Kong-qualified partner Thomas Jones.
Li focuses on corporate, M&A, private equity, real estate and securities work. He joined Clifford Chance’s Hong Kong office on July 1, and will eventually move to the Beijing arm.

The firm has some 400 lawyers in Asia, with offices in Hong Kong, Beijing and Shanghai to cover China, as well as Tokyo and Singapore.
