CC raids MoFo for competition star

Clifford Chance has poached rated competition partner Thomas Vinje from the Brussels office of Morrison & Foerster (MoFo).

Vinje’s appointment follows the defection of Clifford Chance partner Marlene Van Kerckhove, who left to set up a Brussels office for Arnold & Porter in October.

Vinje was one of just two partners in MoFo’s small Brussels office, the other being the office head Christopher Norall.

Clifford Chance’s new recruit is one of the most highly regarded competition lawyers in the IT sector. He is currently advising the Computer and Communications Industry Association, a key complainant in the European Commission’s investigation of Microsoft.
