Clifford Chance has moved to bolster its real estate practice with the hire of a Canadian partner with close links to property developer Paul Reichmann.
Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg corporate and commercial real estate partner Fiona Kelly is to relocate from New York to London to join Clifford Chance.
Apart from her links to Reichmann, the developer behind Canary Wharf, Kelly was previously a client of Clifford Chance’s as head of corporate for property developer TrizecHahn in London between 1999 and 2001.
“We’ve known Fiona for many years as a lawyer and a client, and are very happy to have her joining us in London,” said Clifford Chance’s global head of real estate Cliff McAuley. “Her arrival will add some international depth to our London office.”
Kelly’s practice focuses on cross-border and international transactions, with experience of projects in Canada, the US, Mexico and Europe.
