Phantom of the Opera star Mike Sterling lost a court battle over child maintenance payments to his wife. Sterling - who earns u104,000 a year, has had two Caribbean holidays this year, recently bought a u19,000 Shogun and moved into a u200,000 apartment - had argued he could not afford more than the u1,000 a month maintenance for his four children and wife which he pays at the moment.
