Pamela White, who worked as an equal partner for 33 years helping her husband to build up his farming business, is claiming a half-share in the £4.5m venture. The House of Lords heard the case last week, which is considered the most important divorce cases for years.
White was originally awarded a lump sum of £800,000, although her share of the partnership assets totalled £1.5m. Her lawyers have now asked the Law Lords to award her half of the assets. The Lords' judgment is expected to be delivered this autumn.
