Mr Justice Hooper took the unusual step of lifting the anonymity normally applied to women who make accusations of rape after a jury found Lynn Walker had made up allegations that a colleague had raped her. Walker now faces a bill of £500,000. The judge's ruling in the defamation action came after an application by Edward Garnier QC, the defendant's counsel, who said: 'She should not be able to simply walk away and hide in her tent after she has been found to be an out-and-out liar.'
