The 28-tenant New Court Chambers will close its doors for the last time on 20 April.
Carman is moving to Elizabeth Appleby QC's 4-5 Gray's Inn Square, the set currently in merger talks with Monckton Chambers.
The set has lost nearly ten tenants in the last year to rival chambers, including employment practitioner Suzanne McKie to Devereux Chambers and Hugh Tomlinson to the newly formed Matrix Chambers.
It is believed that a team of practitioners have also applied for tenancy at Matrix but management committee chair at Matrix, Nicholas Blake QC refuses to confirm or deny this.
The remaining tenants, believed to be predominantly commercial practitioners, are understood to be currently wihtout a new home to go to.
In addition to Carman, the set is home to three other silks, Frederic Reynold QC, Peter Susman QC and Charles Howard QC
