South East firm Thomas Eggar has appointed Alan Parsons as a chartered tax adviser and Carl O’Shea as an assistant solicitor in its tax solutions group. Parsons was formerly advising on the management of offshore structures for wealthy individuals with both Deloitte & Touche and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Walker Morris has increased its partner numbers to 42 with the appointment of non-contentious construction partner Tom Peel and company and commercial partner Debbie Jackson. Both joined the firm as trainee solicitors. The firm has also appointed eight new associates in departments throughout the firm.
East Midlands-based firm Smith Partnership has strengthened its corporate services team with the appointment of solicitor Andrew Hill. Hill, a corporate lawyer for 10 years, previously worked at Addleshaw Booth & Co in Manchester and Pinsents in Birmingham.
