The Lord Chancellor and Secretary of State for Constitutional Affairs Lord Falconer and former US Assistant Attorney-General Eldie Asheson are to address an International Policy Summit on Judicial Diversity later this week. The summit, arranged by the Commission for Judicial Appointments, is being held for senior members of the judiciary, government and legal profession in London on 2 November. Lord Falconer will open with a keynote address. Contributions will also be made by judges and policymakers from Canada, France, Italy and the US, including Judge Margherita Cassano of the Italian Supreme Court, Justice Eleanore Cronk of the Ontario Court of Appeal and Judge Richard Paez of the US Federal Court of Appeal (9th Circuit).
