Despite Ince & Co suffering eight departures in the past three years – three due to retirement – the partnership has managed to grow by five partners. This growth was largely prompted by internal promotions, which have overshadowed external hires in the past three years, with nine internal compared with five external appointments. Unsurprisingly, almost all were within shippingrelated practices. Of the five lateral hires, only one was in London, with two in Dubai. But for internal promotions London was the winner, taking three of the nine appointments.
