After a promotion and laterals drive in 2005, when five lawyers were made up and 10 lateral partners hired, Holman Fenwick & Willan slowed down in 2006-07 with half the number of laterals made and only one associate receiving elevation in London. Hong Kong and Dubai were the biggest lateral winners with three and two respectively. Shipping and transport associates have the best chance of partnership.
