A whopping 26 associates were made up at Denton Wilde Sapte (DWS) in 2006-07, the same number as the total amount over the preceding three years. The firm put this down to a successful five industry sectors strategy. The Middle East made an appearance, gaining three new partners, a reflection of the region’s growing importance.
Lateral hires dropped to just one in 2006-07 from an in-house position outside the UK. London dominated internal promotions, however.
The firm’s partnership structure has been reshuffled in the past 12 months and, despite the 26 new partners who were made up, the number of equity partners decreased by 12 on 2005-06’s level
