Nottingham-based Browne Jacobson has promoted at a steady rate of three lawyers a year to the partnership for the past three financial years and four the year before that.
After a blitz of seven lateral hires in 2005-06 across a range of practice areas, the firm settled down to just two in 2006-07 in medical negligence and construction. However, of the 2005-06 hires, six of the seven were in Birmingham, not at the Nottingham headquarters.
