After a period when only a couple of partners were appointed per year, promotions and lateral hires have exploded in the past two years for Trowers & Hamlins. In 2005-06 the firm made seven promotions to the partnership and five in 2004-05. The firm also hired six laterals to the partnership in 2004-05, while three were recruited during 2005-06.

The majority of the 13 promotions since 2003-04 have been made in London. However, two of the three lateral hires and two promotions in 2005-06 have been in the Middle East, highlighting an emphasis on the region.
