Pannone & Partners' dash for growth is clear from a glance at the partnership appointments. The Manchester firm has made 14 internal promotions in two years and 24 lateral hires. Contentious work in various forms accounts for a large proportion of the practice areas, but property has also been a focus. Pannones made no fewer than three property-related lateral hires in 2005-06. The biggest focus for lateral hiring in 2004-05 was personal injury, also with three hires.
