Beachcroft Wansbroughs declined to supply detailed information, but research by The Lawyer suggests that there has been a push on London and Bristol partner appointments in the past year, with the other offices not getting much of a look-in.

Two of the five internal promotions were in London and three in Bristol. The office most likely to hire laterals is London, with four appointments in 2005-06 alone; of those, two were in insurance and two in corporate.

Of other laterals, one was in Birmingham, one in Manchester – a real estate associate from DLA Piper hired straight into partnership – and one in Bristol.
