Lista Cannon is one of Richards Butler’s highest billers, but she will soon be joining the London office of Texas-based Fulbright & Jaworski.
Cannon has been an integral part of the rise and rise of Richards Butler’s highly rated disputes team, acting as something of a mentor to the likes of current head of disputes Charles Hewetson and the firm’s managing partner Roger Parker. Her drive and energy will be missed, as will her prodigious fee-earning. She has played a key role in enabling the firm to take on investment banks when other firms feared their wrath. She led the team that represented the Co-op in its long-running dispute with Merrill Lynch.
Cannon starts the new year with a bang, launching the disputes practice at her new firm and representing Shell in court in February as it defends its conduct regarding its oil reserves.
