This year, The Lawyer’s annual ranking of the largest UK law firms by turnover is available as an interactive, digital benchmarking tool. For the first time this will allow you to manipulate each data set against the metrics of your choice.
Those awkward moments when overworked City lawyers momentarily forget a client’s name are soon to be a thing of the past, if a new scheme from CMS Cameron McKenna catches on.
The firm has designed a computer program, dubbed ’Reflect’, which gives partners and associates agenda documents and conversation topics to use when wining and dining clients.
Reflect will provide fee-earners with information round-ups about clients and their sectors as well as the latest news about the firm and details of new products they can punt.
So keen is the firm on pushing its latest innovation that posters have even been put up in the toilets. But Camerons was at pains to point out that the scheme is not designed simply to give partners easy chat-up lines.
“It’s not supposed to replace the personal touch,” said managing partner Duncan Weston.
The firm aims to have at least two meetings annually using Reflect agendas with each of its top 600 clients.
Business development director Judith Prime, who designed the program, said that Camerons was ”responding to client feedback”.
