Camerons recruits Jardine insurance guru

CMS Cameron McKenna has boosted its insurance offering by poaching the group legal adviser of insurance broker Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group.

Ed Foss, a former Davies Arnold Cooper partner, joins as a partner under Camerons insurance head Liam O'Connell. The practice now boasts 17 partners and more than 50 associates spread between two sites in London and Bristol.

O'Connell said: "Ed is a well-known figure in the insurance and reinsurance market and his perspective will provide us with a unique understanding of the insurance business."

Foss has been group legal adviser at Jardine Lloyd Thompson for the past seven years and will take up his new post in the autumn.

Camerons has pledged to expand its European insurance offering through closer links with practices across the CMS alliance and its own offices in Central and Eastern Europe.
